Time related mechanics and levels
The project was first attempt of applying design principals in creation of the industry quality game. Most important mechanics are time abilities : slowing down the time, dash , time-stopping grenade and reversing the time. Most important designer tasks was to create levels that will created different gameplay experience for each ability.
Challenges
Time abilities has to be unlocked via finishing the trials. Each room test player in combat orientated challenge, that require using ability unlocked in previous room. The task is to defeat all enemies to unlock the access to the teleport that move player back to the hub world. After finishing the trial player will unlock new ability.
Enemies
To make designing different experience easier player will face different types of enemies with different attacks and behaviours. The enemy design started with defining abilities and their appearance. The task was to create easy way to recognise the type of the enemy and it’s ability.
Boss fight
After unlocking all abilities player gets access to the final room with the boss. There, player will be faced with ultimate challenge. With all abilities player has to face powerful boss and constantly spawning enemies. To win the fight player has to create the plan to survive the final fight.
